If counting sheep were an Olympic sport, we’d have at least five gold medals by now. But let’s be honest—staring at the ceiling at 3 a.m. isn’t exactly a skill worth bragging about.
We’ve tried everything—herbal teas, meditation apps, even that weird trick where you wiggle your toes to relax (spoiler: it didn’t work). But when sleep keeps playing hard to get, sometimes you need more than a warm glass of milk—you need expert help.
That’s where London’s best sleep clinics come in. Whether you’re dealing with insomnia or sleep apnea, these clinics have the specialists, technology, and treatments to finally get you the rest you deserve.
How much do sleep clinics charge in London?
Sleep clinics in London charge anywhere from £290 to £550 for an initial consultation or diagnostic assessment. However, the final price may vary depending on additional tests, follow-up consultations, treatment plans, and other factors.
How we chose
- Expertise and credentials – We prioritised clinics led by accredited sleep specialists, respiratory consultants, or neurologists with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders.
- Range of services – We looked for clinics that offer comprehensive assessments. These included in-lab and at-home sleep studies, CPAP therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), and other treatment options.
- Diagnostic accuracy – We considered clinics with advanced sleep study equipment and a strong track record of accurate diagnoses, ensuring patients receive effective treatment.
- Patient experience – We reviewed client feedback and testimonials to assess the quality of care, bedside manner, and how well clinics support patients throughout their sleep treatment journey.
1. The London Sleep Centre

Location: 137 Harley St
Contact: +44 20 7725 0523
Operating hours:
- Monday to Tuesday – 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Wednesday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The London Sleep Centre has been around since 2002. You can really tell they’ve got a lot of experience under their belt. Whether you’re dealing with insomnia or narcolepsy, they seem to have it covered.
What really stood out to us was how they bring together a team of sleep doctors, psychologists, and technologists to look at sleep problems from all sides. Plus, they have all the latest tech, such as advanced sleep tracking systems and polysomnography machines to back it up.
They offer a wide range of top-notch services—everything from sleep studies and treatment plans to dental sleep medicine, CPAP setups, and even myofunctional therapy.
For those unable to visit the clinic in person, they provide an online sleep clinic that facilitates home sleep studies and offers access to necessary equipment through their virtual store.
However, we’ve heard a few people mention that their prices can be on the higher side. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re watching your budget.
Improves both mental and physical health through expert care
“Dr Ebrahim transformed my mental and physical health with his insomnia treatment. I’ve never slept as well or consistently in my life as I have after working with him – on top of that, he’s a very kind and empathetic person. I’m so grateful for the London Sleep Centre and strongly recommend it to anyone struggling with sleep issues!”

Restores sleep after months of uncertainty
“Dr Ebrahim is an absolute Godsend. I had appointments with a couple of other doctors before I found the London Sleep Centre and no one could tell me what was wrong. I was deprived of sleep for months with no understanding of what was happening. I read the reviews and decided to book in an appointment. After my first appointment, he had me do a test and at our follow up appointment he was able to tell me exactly what was wrong. He has been very supportive throughout this process and I am very grateful for the London Sleep Centre.”

2. The Better Sleep Clinic

Location: 126 City Rd
Contact: +44 117 251 0404
Operating hours:
- Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The Better Sleep Clinic makes getting a sleep disorder diagnosis ridiculously easy—seriously, we’ve never seen a smooth process.
If you’re dealing with obstructive sleep apnea or insomnia, they eliminate the hassle with their home sleep test.
They’ll ship you a small, watch-like device the next day. You wear it in your bed, and your results are in within two working days.
You don’t have to wait weeks for an appointment or stay overnight in a clinic. It’s hands-down the fastest sleep test we’ve come across.
Once you’ve got your diagnosis, they don’t just leave you to figure it out on your own. They offer CPAP machines, personalised consultations, and ongoing support to actually help you get better sleep.
However, they’re in high demand, so getting a slot isn’t always easy. If you manage to book a slot, though, it’s one of the quickest and most convenient ways to tackle your sleep issues.
Reassures patients during anxious times with compassionate care
“Brilliant service. I had the at home sleep study + consultation. I really recommend the consultation – it was so helpful to have the study results explained to me and all of my questions answered. My appointment was with Dr Rebecca Mason, who was very personable but professional, she really listened to the questions and concerns I had, addressed every single one, empowered me to decide on my treatment options (without any pressure to pay privately for treatment through the clinic), and reassured me at what was a particularly anxious time. The clinic was also really quick to answer my questions ahead of booking the study. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company, and the package I chose was worth the cost.”

Restores energy and eliminates daytime fatigue
“Having been frustrated in getting my condition properly diagnosed by NHS, and still awaiting a repeat referral, I was urged by my family to seek a privately funded solution. Having foiund Better Sleep Clinic, the process was absolutely 100% smooth. The sleep analysis kit arrived promptly, the results were uploaded seamlessly and the resultant report was detailed, professional and emphatic in its diagnosis. I ordered the CPAP machine on that basis and found after just 1 night’s sleep with the mask and machine, I woke a different person. My energy had returned, I no longer needed to nap during the day and both the craving for sweet foods and the stammering I experienced, had stopped. After resolving some minor issues with mask comfort and fit by using silicon gel pads, I am 100% happy that I took the steps to work with The Better Sleep Clinic.”

3. The Sleep Disorders Clinic

Location: 2 Harley St
Contact: +44 20 3189 1293
Operating hours:
- Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The Sleep Disorders Clinic specialises in diagnosing and treating a range of conditions, with a particular focus on snoring and sleep apnea.
While they’re based on Harley Street, they’ve made it easy for people across the UK to get tested without setting foot in the clinic.
We appreciate that they offer a two-night home sleep study—because, let’s be real, no one wants to make endless trips just to get a diagnosis.
Once the results are in, they offer consultations either over the phone or in person. It’s helpful if you want to talk through your options.
And if CPAP therapy is what you need, they have the machines, accessories, and setup support to get you started.
However, we came across some complaints from people who missed their appointments due to a lack of reminders.
Responds quickly to patient needs
“I’ve Recently used the clinic for getting support to obtain an item for my CAAP machine, unfortunately the clinic was not able to do so. But I’d like to highlight how professional and quick Joseph was in dealing with this matter and resolving it in a satisfactory manner for me. Good customer service from Joseph and the clinic.”

Restores peaceful and rejuvenating sleep
“I can’t thank the team at the Sleep Disorders Clinic enough for their exceptional service. I reached out to them with concerns that I might be suffering from sleep apnea. From my very first phone call, through the detailed sleep study, and up to the start of my CPAP treatment, I felt thoroughly supported. My sleep apnea is starting to come under control, and I’m already experiencing peaceful, restorative sleep at night. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone struggling with sleep issues.”

4. Millpond Children’s Sleep Clinic

Location: 12 Sutton Rd
Contact: +44 20 8444 0040
Operating hours:
- Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
We’ve looked into Millpond Children’s Sleep Clinic, and they’ve definitely made a name for themselves in the world of pediatric sleep.
For 30 years, they’ve been helping exhausted parents and their little night owls—whether it’s a fussy baby or a toddler who refuses to stay in bed.
What sets them apart is their ability to look at the bigger picture. Instead of just handing out generic ‘sleep training’ tips, they build customised plans that take family routines and parenting styles into account.
We appreciate that they offer more than just a quick consultation. They start with video or phone calls, have parents track sleep patterns with diaries, and stick around to offer ongoing support. They even train national health service professionals, which reinforces their expertise.
However, we’ve seen quite a few complaints about slow response times to emails and calls. This can be frustrating for parents who are already exhausted and in need of quick answers.
Improves sleep patterns within weeks
“Mandy has been a great help with our 7 year old who hadn’t slept through for well over a year when we first contacted Millpond. After a few weeks, they were sleeping through a couple of times a week, which feels like a huge achievement and something we are building on. I would highly recommend that anyone with a child of any age with sleep problems consults with Mandy and colleagues. The advice and insight we have received has been a real game changer.”

Guides families through the sleep improvement journey
“Our son had several issues with sleep during the night. Thanks to Mandy’s help we were able to improve our son’s (and our own) sleep quality. She provided the tools that enabled us to establish a clear bedtime routine and reduce the number of awakenings during the night. It is a journey, but Mandy is very knowledgable and her gentle and tailored approach gave us confidence that there are means to improve sleep without letting a child cry. We are very grateful for her help.”

5. London Sleep Coach

Location: 54 Burnaby St
Contact: +44 20 3004 5358
Operating hours:
- Monday – 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- Wednesday – 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Thursday – 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
We’ve spent some time looking into London Sleep Coach. What really stands out to us is that it was founded by Ed Gorst, who has personally experienced the nightmare of bad sleep.
He has dealt with insomnia firsthand, making his approach feel a lot more personal than the usual sleep advice you find online.
We appreciate his personalised approach over generic solutions—instead, he focuses on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). It’s a drug-free way to manage insomnia that actually helps people change how they respond to sleeplessness instead of just fighting it.
We’ve seen that ACT is backed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the US Department of Health and Human Services, so it’s not just another wellness trend.
Another advantage is that everything is done online, making it easy to get started. They offer one-on-one coaching, group programs, and even a free online course if you just want to test the waters before committing.
However, we’ve seen a few complaints about the premium pricing, meaning this isn’t the most budget-friendly option.
Checks in regularly to provide ongoing guidance
“Ed was sympathetic and understanding at a time when my insomnia was at its worst, and it really helped that he constantly checked on me to see how I was doing. The techniques we explored during our sessions were a totally new approach and I found them helpful. Although unfortunately my sleep problems weren’t solved, he certainly pointed me in the right direction and I’m now feeling so much better.”

Introduces new and effective sleep techniques
“I had tried all the usual things to try and help me sleep and things had got so bad I was getting real anxiety about actually not sleeping. Ed was very understanding and empathetic and shared some very different techniques that I hadn’t used before. I have only had two sessions so far but these have helped. They take a bit of practice and I will be booking another session to build on this. Ed is has a genuine interest in helping and is really good at keeping in touch by email to see how things are going and offering advice. Thank you Ed.”
