The 5 best mobile cat grooming services in London to keep your cats looking purrfect

As a pet owner, grooming is such a hassle task. Not to mention, expensive. As much as I want to save by having a DIY grooming salon inside my place, it always turns out to be a disaster.

Leave it to the experts, they say, but dragging my pet cat out of the house is another task that needs to be done—you heard it, a cat. And as much as I love my cat, we tend to leave the house with many scratch marks.

That’s why you shouldn’t hassle yourself anymore. With these mobile cat grooming services in London, you don’t need to stress yourself out when convenience comes knocking on your door.

How much do mobile cat grooming services cost in London?

How we chose the best mobile cat grooming services in London

  • Expertise and credentials – We looked at the credentials and expertise of the groomers. We made sure to only pick cat groomers who have extensive experience and training in handling various types of cat breeds and temperament.
  • Places covered – Since this is a mobile cat grooming, we chose mobile services that cover a wide range of areas in London.
  • Range of service – We looked into mobile services that offer a wide range of services for cat owners, not only grooming services. We prioritised those that also offer cat sitting and health check-ups.
  • Customer feedback – Having certifications doesn’t offer the whole picture. That’s why we also talked to previous customers and sifted through reviews to see how the groomers perform in practice.

Business hours:

Hare of the Cat has been in the service since 2014. With almost eleven years of experience and a membership at the National Cat Groomers Institute (NCGI), it’s no surprise that they’re fully qualified and insured cat groomers.

What we like about Hare of the Cat is that they approach cats softly and with minimal touch, immediately calming them without the use of sedation.

Their standard full-coat groom starts at £60 for short-haired and £70 for medium/long-haired, and I must say that the price is reasonable because of its inclusions.

Aside from that, we appreciate the free consultation they offer. Instead of jumping straight into grooming, they assess each cat’s needs first to determine the best approach. This is helpful for first-time cat owners as they’ll learn more about the process before it even starts.

Pros

  • Free consultation
  • NCGI-approved
  • Offers other services such as cat-sitting
  • Fair pricing for services

Cons

  • Limited range of service

Fluffy became fluffier!

“I have had Nina groom my cat Fluffy twice now. The first time, Fluffy had extreme matting,g which I didn’t realize was causing her considerable pain. With much care and attention Nina recommended she have a lion cut. Nina was extremely caring and professional at performing this task, after which Fluffy had a wash and shampoo. I was extremely impressed with Nina’s professional manner, which shows how much she loves cats and wants them to be happy and content, which Fluffy was.”

-Lisa, Nunhead, testimonials

Nina knows what to do

“Nina absolutely understands cats and clearly loves working with them. She has done a fantastic job grooming my two sphynx cats, they have literally never looked better. Nina is confident and knowledgable about cats. Sphynx are hard work due to their unusual skin and lack of hair, but Nina was not phased. Both of my babies instantly took a liking to Nina, and I shall certainly be using her again. Would recommend Nina to anybody looking to get their cat groomed.”

What’s unique about Purrrfectly Pampered is its personal touch—Lisa runs this cat mobile grooming service all on her own, and that dedication really shows. We’re amazed at how she manages to cater to the whole city by herself.

Plus, knowing that she’s DBS-checked gives us extra peace of mind. This is important when you’re welcoming a stranger to your home.

Lisa’s services are also fully insured, which we found reassuring because you never know when something unexpected will happen.

Another thing we really appreciate is Lisa’s professionalism. Her terms and conditions are clearly outlined to clients, so there are barely any surprises during the service. Bookings are also all guaranteed so long as you pay the fee upfront.

However, one downside is the lack of fixed pricing. While you can check a general price guide, the final price will only be agreed upon before the grooming session. Some clients said the final pricing shocked them since it was expensive.

Pros

  • Covers the entire city
  • Free consultation
  • Insured service
  • DBS-checked

Cons

  • Non-refundable fees
  • No fixed price
  • Use of muzzle on aggressive cats

Another one-woman team on the list is Agnia’s Pet Cat Grooming Service. Agnia creates a calm and comfortable environment, ensuring each grooming session is as stress-free as possible for your cats.

While her services are limited to just cat grooming, you can choose whether you want a regular, premium, or deluxe session for your cat.

All three sessions include a full cat grooming, but if you want additional services such as brush & dry, you may opt for the premium. Meanwhile, the deluxe option has more inclusions, such as lion cut grooming and dry bath.

For us, the regular session is already a good package for our cat.

You can still use her contact form or book an appointment to be able to know the price. Her website is accessible and you’ll be able to scroll through the information with ease. Agnia’s quick to respond when it comes to booking too.

But before booking an appointment, you better check your location. Agnia’s mobile service caters to East London and surrounding areas only.

Pros

  • Licensed and certified master cat groomer
  • Easy to book
  • Fixed grooming package

Cons

  • Limited service covered
  • Unavailable price

Aggressive cats are tamed!

“so grateful for agnia, every other groomer has refused to work on our cat due to how agressive she gets when stressed but agnia knew exactly what to do with care and efficiency. I can’t recommend her more, great service and job. thank you so much!”

Knowledgeable and friendly

“Today, we had the pleasure of booking Agnia for the first time to groom our cat, Leica. While we’ve tried to manage Leica’s coat ourselves, she’s proven to be quite a challenge, so we decided it was time for professional help. Agnia arrived right on time, and from the moment she stepped in, she was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable.

We had a lovely chat about cats, and she shared some invaluable tips on how to better care for Leica’s coat. Her patience and expertise were evident throughout the session, making the experience smooth and stress-free. We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend Agnia’s services to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate groomer. She is truly a professional in every sense!”

Catnips is an all-rounder cat grooming mobile service. Grooming isn’t the only thing they offer. Anita, Catnips’ owner, also offers a session on cat behavior treatment and cat sitting.

Anita handles every cat with care. No face muzzles are used, and there is no rush. Fur parents are also encouraged to be involved in the grooming session, which helps lessen the tension and stress for the pets.

Catnips, though, lean on the pricey side. Anita explained to us why her grooming services are expensive, which includes her patience and degree in feline behavior. Which for us, can be a rational reason for her service fee.

But they can also be a bit unresponsive through emails. So, if you’re in a rush, then it’s best to look elsewhere.

Pros

  • Master-level grooming certification
  • Wide range of service locations
  • Offers cat-sitting and behavior treatment

Cons

  • Expensive pricing
  • Unresponsive through email

The price is worth it!

“We found Anita to be extremely professional and she followed all the health and safety guidelines on entering our premises. She is definitely kind, understanding, patient and displayed a beautiful compassion and love for cats.

She didn’t rush our Abicat, who was obviously nervous and she took time to become acquainted. The grooming session was done with the Abicat’s welware being the total focus. Thinking of strategies to calm her as well as offering several comfort breaks. Anita was very thorough, and also clipped our Abicats nails.

The end result was to a very high standard , all her matted hair was safety removed. I would definitely recommend Anita and I will also be using her services again, when required in the future.”

Warm and friendly

“Anita is amazing ! I  had my Persian Cat for 8 years and I had him groomed regularly. Last week was his first time with Anita. It was the least stressful time ever and in fact it was the first time that I actually stayed  with him while he was being groomed.  It was a real learning and educational experience, Anita was so gentle and loving and genuinely caring. She taught me so much and gave me so many tips on how to care for his specific needs and well being. She arrived to my house on time and was so warm and friendly. She really is a guardian angel for cats. I would never have my cat groomed by anyone else.  Thank you Anita !”

5. Feline Features

feline-features

Services covered: See covered areas here

Phone Number: 07946 527216

Business Hours:

  • Open 24/7

Website

Since 1992, Feline Features has offered its mobile cat grooming throughout London.

Their number one priority is the cat’s comfort and wellness. That is why their grooming service is lap work, having our cat sit on their lap rather than on tables. Although our cat got jumpy at first, Steve considered its stress level before starting the session.

Their service is expensive though. Additional fees such as parking and congestion zone charges are separated from the actual grooming service fee. They’re expensive but hey,  they’ve been doing it since the 90s.

For your cat’s wellness, it’s not so bad at all.

Also, considering that they’re open 24/7 for grooming services, the price seems reasonable.

Plus, they’re in demand, which means it’ll be hard for you to secure an appointment with them.

Pros

  • Covers a wide range of service areas
  • In service since 1992
  • Open 24 hours

Cons

  • Expensive additional fees
  • Hard to book/in demand

Thank you for the recommendation!

“My local vet put me in touch with Steve at Feline Features. Prior to that, my Chinchilla cat Lucca had undergone a thorough de – matting under anaesthetic at least twice a year, which was traumatic for my cat and expensive for me. Now Steve visits every 6 weeks and keeps Lucca happy , feeling healthy and perfectly groomed.”

Regardless of age, Steve knows how to handle them!

“Steve has been grooming my cats for over 6 years. Originally he attended to my very elderly and infirm Persian cat. I can not praise highly enough the care and concern with which he handled her and towards the end it was Steve who advised me to no longer have her groomed. My current Persian, whom he has groomed since kitten hood, has even got to like him ! He handles her with the same professional expertise as my first cat and at the end of a session of washing, thinning and trimming,, finally grooming – my cat is a wonderful sight to behold.”
